Lesson Cancellations
If you need to cancel a lesson, please notify your instructor.
24-hour notice or longer is preferred if possible.

In the case of a sudden need to cancel a lesson (day of), please do your best to reach your instructor via call or text.

No-Show/Late Arrival Policy

Occasional, circumstantial, no-shows or sudden cancellations are not a problem! Sometimes wires get crossed, or there is an emergency! However, repeated no-shows are disrespectful to your instructor’s time.

In the event of repeated failure to notify your instructor of absences, your lesson time may be voided and opened for other clients. Your subscription will be cancelled by your instructor. This decision is left to your instructor.

Please notify your instructor if you’re going to be more than 10 minutes late to a lesson. If you do not show up for a lesson, you instructor will attempt to contact you. If they don’t hear anything from you, your lesson is void 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.

Lesson Make-Up Policy

-There are a total of 18 viable weeks for lessons during the semester (January 5th – May 24th).
-There will be a designated make-up week at the end of the semester (May 25th – 31st).
-Clients pay for 17 lessons over the course of 5 months.

-The calendar automatically accommodates 2 missed lessons during viable weeks of the semester. 1 student absence is assumed, and 1 instructor absence is assumed.

Instructor Cancellations
-Your instructor may need to cancel lessons occasionally.
-Instructors are entitled to 1 cancellation without the need to reschedule
-If your instructor cancels more than 1 lesson in the semester, they will work with you to fit 17 lessons in before the end of the semester.
-If you and your instructor find it impossible to reach 17 lessons by the end of the semester due to instructor cancellation, your instructor will work with you in refunding a portion of lesson costs for the month (equal to the number of missed lessons that cannot be rescheduled).

Student/Client Cancellations
-You may need to cancel lessons occasionally
-Students are entitled to 1 make up lesson due to client/student cancellation.
-By default this will be done during make up week of the semester.
-Please cancel your lesson if your student is sick
-If student/client has to cancel 2 or more lessons, they are not entitled to more than 1 make up lesson.
-However, lessons can be made up at your instructor’s discretion!

Essentially: If you only miss 2 lessons (for whatever reason), make-up week has you covered. You will still reach 17 lessons by the end of the semester.
